Dr. Mohammad Zabetian Targhi
Dr. Mohammad Zabetian Targhi is an assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Tarbiat Modares University of Iran, and also is a supervisor of the measurement laboratory.

Dr. Kiumars Mazaheri Badi holds a Ph.D. in Combustion and Explosion, the branch of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, Canada in 1997, M.Sc and B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, both from Isfahan University of Technology in 1989 and 1986, respectively. Before establishing the Iranian Combustion Institute (ICI) in 2008, he joined to Tarbiat Modares University in 1997 as the professor assistant. In 2005, he is upgraded to the associated professor, and after 6 years, he succeeded to be the Professor due to his scientific and researching activities such as publishing a vest number of creditable papers. |
In these years, Dr. Mazaheri assumed the several responsibilities in Tarbiat Modares University as represented below:
- Research deputy (2005-2006)
- General director of research affair (2006-2008)
- Energy conversion group directory (2009-2013)
- Deputy dean for academic affair and research (2013-2016)
- Head of school of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (2016-2020)
The specialty field of Dr. Mazaheri is the fundamental concept and applicable technology of the combustion, and so far, he works widely on developing combustion technology of various industries. As a results of his interesting in the combustion field, he established the fuel and combustion journal in 2008 in Tarbiat Modares University and founded the Iranian Combustion Institute (ICI) in same year. Hence, in addition to above responsibilities, Dr. Mazaheri acts as
- Chair of first combustion conference in Iran in 2006
- Chair of the Iranian Combustion Institute (ICI) (2008-2012, 2013-2020)
- Executive director of the fuel and combustion journal (2008-2020).
Furthermore, Dr. Mazaheri constituted the laboratory of experimental and numerical simulation of combustion for the time in Iran country. He provided a vast number of supercomputers and modern experimental platforms and equipments for lab-scales industrial burners and furnaces. By directing and conducting 90 M.Sc and 30 Ph.D thesis with various combustion subjects applicating in the industry, he has contributed more than 50 ISI and 44 conference papers.
